WDET Event

The Department of Music at Wayne State University is proud to host Tenor Madness October 23rd and 24th, two days of workshops, saxophones and performances.

Guest artists include legendary saxophonist Jerry Bergonzi, inventor Francois Louis, jazz artist Emanuele Cisi and Claudio Zolla of Ramphone and Cazzani Handmade Saxophones.

Tenor Madness workshops are free and open to the public.

The event will culminate with a performance featuring Jerry Mergonzi and the WSU Big Band, directed by Professor Chris Collins, and Detroit-Toronto Urban Jazz Project. Bergonzi's music has been applauded throughout the world at festivals, concert halls and jazz venues and his dedication to jazz has been well documented in an extensive discography.
