The Detroit Public Schools, the health department and the state of Michigan laid out plans yesterday to prevent the spread of H1N1 (Swine Flu). Included was a list of vaccination priorities, pregnant women being first. Joining us is Dr. Walter Davis, Pandemic Flu Coordinator for the Detroit Health Department.
Female entrepreneurs and business owners will be meeting today and tomorrow at the Motorcity Casino Hotel. The Great Lakes Women’s Business Conference, largest of its kind in the Midwest, will be in Detroit. Michelle Richards, Executive Director for CEED, host of the conference, is with us.

A new exhibit opening at the Detroit Historical Museum is being called Detroit’s “Snack Food Superstars.” It will focus on companies such as Better Made Snack Food Company, Germack Pistachio Company, Sanders Confectionery, Stroh’s Products and Vernor’s Ginger Ale.
