After weeks under the threat of a potential recall, Michigan House Representative Rashida Tlaib will not face a fight for her office. She'll speak with us about the decision to not honor the petition by the Wayne County Election Commission.  

The entrepreneur-to-entrepreneur support organization Open City celebrates a 3rd year of helping small business owners navigate the path to opening a company in Detroit. WDET's Noah Ovshinsky talks with a handful of the group's members about thier experiences in the city. 

The fall season of the Detroit Film Theatre begins this weekend with a live performance by the Alloy Orchestra. We'll talk with DIA Public Programs Director Larry Baranski and Alloy member Ken Winokur about the magic of hearing a film score played live.

The Lions begin season training this weekend; we'll talk with Eric Edholm, Senior Editor of Pro Football Weekly about his thoughts on the team this year.

A huge weekend for Detroit arts continues with the opening of two new exhibits at the Museum of Contemporary Art Detroit (MOCAD) . Ann Lislegaard: 2062 and Alexander Gutke are incredible visual and auditory explorations of space and technology. The artists, as well as MOCAD Director Luis Croquer, join us to discuss.
