Pistons Veteran Guard Investigated
Aug 25, 2008
General - Link to Audio

Citing unnamed sources…Crain’s Detroit Business says the FBI is looking closely at Lindsey Hunter’s involvement in an illegal real estate deal involving an expensive Bloomfield Hills property.   A separate investigation by the Wayne County Register of Deeds is looking at Hunter as a possible victim of fraud.

In a statement released by one of his lawyers…Hunter denies any wrongdoing. His attorney says he was only a silent partner in the firm that’s involved in the deal and that Hunter backed out once he realized he was being lied to by others in his company…L & I Enterprises. Hunter’s lawyer says the NBA veteran may take legal action in order to defend his reputation.

Hunter is no longer under contract with the Pistons. His two-year…four and a half million dollar contract expired at the end of last season. I’m Noah Ovshinsky, WDET News.
