Breaking News: School Bus Inspections Will Continue

The Michigan State Police will not end school bus inspections starting next week. A statement from State Police Director Peter Munos says the department will find a way to pay for the inspections even though the Legislature cut the money from the budget. The statement says layoff notices to 11 inspectors have been rescinded and they will be on the job Monday. Governor Granholm asked lawmakers to find a way to pay for the program in a budget message she signed today.
