- Another Day, Another Record High Gas Price In Michigan

The auto club Triple-A finds the average national price for a gallon of regular unleaded gas has hit a new all-time high of nearly three dollars and 72 cents.
That’s about 20 percent more that it cost a year ago.
The price for a barrel of oil has roughly doubled during that same time period as well.
Gas prices have set a record almost daily now for the past few months.
In the nation’s automotive capitol of Detroit alone…the average price of regular gas is up to three dollars and 82 cents a gallon – an increase of more than 20 cents in just the past week.
The cost of premium gas in Michigan has climbed to four dollars and 23 cents a gallon…while the price for diesel is four dollars and 43 cents.
There’s concerns that the high cost of fuel could affect vacation plans.
Some recreation parks in Michigan are offering up to two weeks of free storage for campers…boats and trailers.
